Never Mind Carmageddon; Traffic Jam Is in the Sky

The first thing that came to my mind in this article was what exactly was the author's message? Are helicopters becoming an issue or a craze; not just in California but everywhere that seems to be a highly populated city. Helicopters are there for pretty much everything. You have helicopters for the police and fire departments, the media, tourism, private helicopters...the list goes on and on. I think what Mr. Nagourney's point in this article is how do we define what is excessive from what is necessary. It seems that in these municipal areas, there is no issue with this many helicopters, for most citizens understand the obligations each one has. However in areas with large populations, usually resemble signs of annoyance towards such machines. The more of these helicopters launch pads built on sky scrapers, the more irritation towards the thought of this.

The author at first does not seem bias from reading the beginning of the article; however Mr. Nagourney expressed his frustration in a diffusive but indirect way. He throws his opinions together with those of which people have had a recent issues with helicopters.

The craze for a helicopter is intense right now. You see launch pads on just about every skycaper within a mile radius of one another, maybe less. This new frenzy may eventually spiral to far out of control and causing overpopulation in the skies now. Maybe I am crazy, but we soon rely solely on helicopter transportation that we would lose sight of basic ways or commute. We would be running on the desire to be in a helicopter rather than being rational. In my opinion we should not try to rely too heavily on this level of transportation, in these large or small communities because eventually, we will have no ways of transportation to fall back on.
