This article caught my attention because it was something so random. The shooter was at his son's 11Th birthday party at a Skating Rink when he decided to kill. It seems there were family issues which might have caused him to do such a horrible crime. It was a random shooting that surprised everyone. This was supposed to be a happy day with family but instead it was a day of horror.
The shooter told his son and all the other children to leave the snack area and then he began firing at his wife and her family members. His son had to deal with the fact that he would have neither of his parents because his dad killed his mother and four others, then himself afterwards. The shooter really didn’t think much about his son. What father would decide to leave their son alone without a parent on their birthday party?
Skating Rinks are places where you would least expect a shooting to happen. Things are only getting worse. The killings are now happening in the places that would be considered safe but now it becoming as unsafe as any other place. What is happening? Why are so many dying for no good reason? Things need to change or else no place will be safe for kids or anybody else.
I find the father to be selfish because he left his son all alone. He doesn’t have parents to guide him in his life. No parent should let their problems come between them raising their child. A child always needs an adult to guide them. His father should have thought what would be best for his son and not him. Marriages always have problems but a parent shouldn’t go as far as killing one another to end the problems. It will just make the child suffer more. We need to think before our actions.
