Cornel West flunks the president

This article is about a man named Cornel who expresses his many problems with our curent president. now i dont care much for our president anyway. As in i could care less what happens in the white house. but for some strange reason, this man intrigues me in unknown ways. read for yourself and maybe you will understand what im talking about. He wears four black suits known as his 'funeral clothes' because he is ready to die and prepared for battle. He seems a bit odd for his age. Maybe we should express our opinions on the world and see what happens.

Cornel West is a philosophy professor at Princeton University who at one time was the highest paid professor in the country. Before working at Princeton he taught at Harvard University. He had a huge disconnect with some of the University's public views and eventually felt he had to step down. I did not look up information on him, I just learned this a couple of weeks ago when I got a chance to listen to one of his lectures and my professor gave us a breif biography on him. From the lectures I watched, Mr.West is a brillant person who seems confusing to many people. But you see, that is his goal. He wants to challange you to your boiling point. He does not want you agree with everything he says or believes but wants you to question everything as a critical thinker. Cornel West is a very intriguing man who has this level of thinking that is incomparable.

In this article he refers to President Obama as a "thermometer" rather than a "thermostat". By this this Cornell backs up his statment by saying that all the famous or well respected former presidents are thermostats. I think what he is saying if Barack wants to cause major change in our economy or other political issues going on then he must change how he reaches out to the community as well as to other politicians. The author of this article clearly shows signs that he does not agree with what Mr. West has to say.
