On the road: Question 2

I can definately tell that Kerouac loved language. His use of descriptive dialoge helps to convey each thought, action, or whatever he was trying to get across, even in the smallest way. You find yourself getting lost in what your reading. He used descriptive language in different ways wether it was to give the reader a clear, mental image of what exactly was going on or to give the mind a little room for imagination. " The following ten days were, as W.C fields said, fraught with eminent peril-and mad"(pg 40). This allows readers to come to thier own concences of what the 10 days would be like depending on thier definition of what it means to be "Fraught with eminent peril". The reader kind of gets the chance to tell the story from thier own perspective."I suddenly ralized i was in California. Warm, palmy air-air you could kiss-and palms"(pg 60).
In part one, the authors decscription of Sals entry into California help to tell the story in away that made me feel like I could feel and see what was taking place

The author manages to encorperate slang and explicit language into his writting as well. "What the hell am i dong up here?"(pg 10). Curse words being used throughout the novel helps to make the story in a little more realistic and raw. "His specialty was steeling cars, gunning for girls comming put of high school inthe afternoon, drving them out to the mountains, making them, and comming back to sleep in any available hotel bathtub in town"(pg 37). The sexual content and Slang used as its reference helped to tell the story in a slightly more modist way than intened.
