Plot Pyramid

Did anyone else do those Plot Pyramids in like 3rd Grade? You had to find a quote or part of the book to represent different parts of the plot. Intro, next the "Rising Action" then the Climax at the top of it, then the "Falling Action", finally, the Resolution. Those were pretty easy if you know what to look for. I thought of that while reading today and tried to start one with On the Road. im only like halfway through but it looked something like this;

intro : " i first met Dean Mortaty..."
I know its the first sentence but it sums it up, hell, it sums up the whole book. This guy Sal revolving around this guy Dean. hahaha. It seems Sal sees Dean at first as some superhero or a REALLY REALLY shiny object. Only later does he realize he's just a human too ( i think )

rising action : the WHOLE book so far is rising action, just a bunch of complication. the Police, the robbers, the poorness.

ill fill in the climax later lol

climax: Sal and Dean get to "heaven"
When they got to mexico it was like a late night HBO special (some of yall know what i mean lol) drugs, prostitutes.. this was crazy. Definitely the high point of their trips. Sal is at his creepiest, iodlizing Dean even more.

falling action: Sal meets the girl, both Dean and Sal wind down, the energy from before isnt there.

resolution: it ends sadly, Sal wondering about Dean, feels bad he couldnt help him.
