Dissatisfaction in On the Road

This story is based on the restlessness and dissatisfaction of the characters. The combination of restlessness and dissatisfaction gives them an undying need to move. To do something different, go someplace different, with someone different. Sal seems to prefer to move around, to travel, while Dean just wants to do something. Sal at first has goals, but soon it transforms into where, he is not concerned about his destination, only with the fact that he is going somewhere.
